Description

Imagine a high-tide morning on the Brittany coast. The crisp air, the sea spray, the cry of gulls over the harbor. And you, warm and snug in this pure virgin wool marinière sweater, with its striped Fish elbow patches that tell a story of the sea and tradition.

This sweater is the result of a collaboration between Baie des Caps and Augustin, the French house of iconic socks. Together, we revisited the classic navy marinière sweater by incorporating Augustin's playful and refined designs. But beware: these elbow patches are not sewn on, they are knitted directly into the fabric, as the knitting progresses. A true technical challenge that demands precision and artisanal know-how.

Wear it on the deck of a sailboat, at the Concarneau market, or by the fire after a sea outing. This sweater is made to last, to accompany you on your Atlantic adventures, season after season. A classic revisited, with that little extra something that makes you smile: the striped Fish, a quirky nautical nod.

Even the most durable knit can show signs of wear over time. At Baie des Caps we help you extend the life of your garments with our repair services:

  • Repairs: dropped stitches, holes, fitting of knitted elbow patches.

Local recycling: drop off or send us the sweater that has become too small or is no longer worn. We put it back into shape so that it finds a second life and delights another customer. In exchange, you receive a credit note to put towards something new.
