Because it is the material of the original sailor sweater: dense, warm and windproof, it protects against cold and damp like no other. Tightly knitted in our workshop, it only gets better with the years — our sweaters come with a lifetime anti-pilling guarantee and are repairable for life.

It is more rustic than merino: it is worn over a shirt or a long-sleeved T-shirt, and softens with each wear. For direct contact with the skin, choose our merino wool sweaters instead.

Very little: a few washes a year are enough. In the machine at 20 °C on the wool cycle, inside out, with a wool detergent, spin at 600 rpm maximum, dried flat. Between two wears, let it breathe for a few hours in the fresh air.

Both are equally warm — it is the tight knit that provides the warmth. Virgin wool is the choice of authenticity and robustness; the merino wool blend, that of softness and easy care at 30 °C.
