Description

The Breton sailor sweater in a comfortable feminine version: traditional solid knit, soft merino wool, machine washable. Knitted in Brittany.

The Erquy sweater, in a solid navy knit merino wool version, combines the authenticity of Breton knitting with a softness and ease of care that makes all the difference. Worn loose and enveloping, it slips over a marinière or jeans, from the dock to the cafe. The 50% merino wool, 50% acrylic blend provides an incomparable soft feel; unlike the 100% virgin wool version, it is machine washable (30°C wool program) and dries faster, without losing its shape or bulk.

Knitted and manufactured in our workshop in Beaussais-sur-Mer. Iconic button placket on the left shoulder. It runs very large: this is intentional—refer to the size guide.

Even the most durable knit can show signs of wear over time. At Baie des Caps we help you extend the life of your garments with our repair services:

  • Repairs: dropped stitches, holes, fitting of knitted elbow patches.

Local recycling: drop off or send us the sweater that has become too small or is no longer worn. We put it back into shape so that it finds a second life and delights another customer. In exchange, you receive a credit note to put towards something new.
