Discover the Know-How of Baie des Caps: The Excellence of Breton Knitting
Since its creation in 1986 on the Emerald Coast , the Baie des Caps workshop has been the cradle of unique know-how. Specializing since 1994 in the emblematic knit of the sailor sweater , it perpetuates a tradition of requirement and quality.
Dominique and Isabelle JOSSELIN, the founders, first designed their sweaters to meet the needs of sailors and boating enthusiasts. Their robust, elastic and durable knit quickly won over, becoming an essential reference.
Over the years, the collection has been expanded to suit all styles:
Always knitted with the same passion and precision, these pieces combine Breton tradition and modernity.
In 2019 , Geoffroy and Lucie de Pinieux took over, ensuring the continuity of this precious heritage. Under their leadership, Baie des Caps gained notoriety while remaining faithful to its artisanal roots.
With a team growing to 10 qualified artisans , the workshop masters each stage of knitting and manufacturing , guaranteeing 100% French production.
At Baie des Caps, each sweater tells a story: that of a successful transmission , a commitment to excellence , and a love for Brittany .
Thinking about the second life
A durable knit, even if it is of quality, remains a natural material that can suffer the ravages of time. Do not hesitate to have your sweater repaired if it shows signs of fatigue! Our workshop carries out repairs on slip stitches, holes, or even the installation of knit elbow patches.
If your sweater is no longer your size, do not hesitate to drop it off in our shop for a credit, or to send it to us (contact us first). It will make other customers happy, and you will be able to reinvest in a new one!
