Since July 2019, there has been a plethora of private sales at Baie des Caps, with motivated ambassadors who have welcomed us to their homes in Cesson-Sévigné, Rennes, Vannes, Ste Reine de Bretagne, Sens, etc. Organizing a private sale can have several advantages.
What is a private sale?
Baie des Caps sailor sweaters and classic sweaters are mainly purchased at the factory outlet on the Emerald Coast and increasingly on the online store. It is difficult to form an impression before purchasing when it is not possible to go to the store. People who have appreciated our products sometimes decide to introduce them to their friends, who then have the opportunity to touch the material, appreciate the cut and size of the sweaters ... before making their decision! The host decides on the location, the day (of course under our expert advice), and their guests. We take care of the rest! Equipped with several size kits on different models of Baie des Caps sweaters, and their good humor, the Baie des Caps advisors come to meet you if you are receiving an hour away from us and welcome your guests with you. Otherwise, the size kits are sent to you by parcel, but you must then know the products well to ensure the private sale on your own.
But what do you gain from it?
Organizing a private sale at home for a brand is an opportunity to invite your friends to have a good time, to discover a product they did not know, without obligation to buy! The host or hostess also receives a reward according to the results of the sale, the formula being the following: we offer you one, two or three sweaters according to the turnover achieved during the private sale (around 10%).
How to make your private sale a success?
The Baie des Caps team supports you in organizing the private sale. It is a matter of respecting a few rules for guaranteed success!
- The Place: a private sale is generally organized at one's own home or that of a friend, or sometimes in a room that has been lent. What is needed is to create a friendly atmosphere to best showcase our products. It is therefore possible to offer them tea, coffee and why not some treats!
- The ideal day: It all depends on the availability of your guests and yourself!
- The right time slot: the longest possible! Often from 10:00 to 19:00. Try to leave a large time slot and not take a break for those available at lunchtime. It is also possible to think of an evening with friends and choose the 8:30 p.m. to midnight slot (after work, a good relaxing time!).
- The best time : From September 15th to December 8th. The start of the school year in September is ideal for renewing the family's wardrobe, and Christmas because people need to buy their gifts! In general, Christmas shopping is done at the beginning of December, but a date as early as mid-October can be suitable. The summer period when it brings together family and friends also allows you to anticipate back-to-school shopping!
- The golden rules of the hostess/host: the success of a sale depends largely on the person who organizes it. Your guests trust you: you must know the product well and be able to highlight its assets. It is therefore important to be present at all times and have little attentions for your hosts: tea, coffee, etc. The objective is to create a friendly moment and make sales.
- And why not? You can very well couple a Baie des Caps sale with the sale of other products likely to interest your guests, without putting them in competition of course. For example, children's games, decorative objects, etc.
