Visite du groupe BAYARD chez Baie des Caps

The BAYARD group

Created under the name Maison de la Bonne Presse, the Bayard group is currently established in 16 countries and has four business areas: written press, book publishing, digital and audiovisual in the fields of current affairs (La Croix, Le Pèlerin, Panorama, etc.), youth (Pomme d'Api, Youpi, Babar, J'aime lire, Astrapi, etc.)

The Bayard group has built its history and is moving forward with its audience; it is a cultural adventure that readers and editors share together.

Over the years, the group has been able to reinvent itself by taking its first steps into the digital world in the early 2000s and since then the group has continued to modernize.

A seminar in Saint-Jacut-de-la-Mer.

The Culture and Religion section of the BAYARD group decided to go on a 2-day seminar to Saint-Jacut-de-la-Mer, a French commune located in the Côtes-d'Armor department. An ideal setting to stimulate the productivity and creativity of employees.

The times for reflection alternated with times for meeting with today's entrepreneurs, whether they are retraining or expanding, and to understand their history, their motivations, their future desires and how they came up with the idea.

A passage through Baie des Caps

A tour of the workshop to start this day so that our visitors can immerse themselves in our world and understand our activity.

The machines and the various positions were presented to all the editors-in-chief of the culture and religion sector of the Bayard group.

Then a more general presentation was held in the old shop adjoining the workshop.

Understand how Baie des Caps was born and why Geoffroy and Lucie de Pinieux decided to start this new adventure in the town of Ploubalay, Beaussais sur Mer.

A sailor sweater combining authenticity and know-how, derived in several forms in order to satisfy all of its users.

Modernizing the product while maintaining its quality is possible and feasible, why not do it?

A story

Baie des Caps has existed since 1986 and was created by Isabelle and Dominique Josselin and it was in 2019 that the sailor sweater manufacturing company was taken over by Lucie and Geoffroy de Pinieux.

A new beginning that resonates as obvious because the products are durable and timeless, a family business with know-how that they want to perpetuate.

Supported by the Entreprendre Bretagne network and the Initiative de Saint-Malo network which sponsored them for the first two years, they were able to offer new products and convince several resellers of the quality of their products.

Today, their website allows the company to offer its products throughout France and even abroad.

By combining modernity and know-how, Baie des Caps has been able to expand and continues to offer authentic, quality products.

Visit our Boutique

After seeing the workshop and the production live, it was important to show “the final result” and how the store showcased its products.

Direction 13 rue du Colonel-Pléven one street from the workshop.

Indeed, shortly after taking over the Baie des Caps business, a move of the store was put in place in order to be at the heart of the traffic while remaining a stone's throw from the workshop.

A pleasant universe and colors that will catch your eye.

So many varied materials and products that do not leave visitors indifferent.

An exchange

This morning provided an opportunity to highlight the convictions and expectations that a project can give rise to.

The desire to raise awareness and educate about consumption and, above all, to preserve know-how that allows the creation of authentic products.

An exchange of motivations, ideas and information but above all an exchange of common values.
